Scientists are saying that there can be a particle in our universe named sexaquarks and it's possible that the life of these particles is billion of years or infinite and they are present from the time of big bang but before looking at sexaquarks, first, we have to understand what quarks are. In our school, we all have study state of matter, atoms and sub atomic particles in which atom is the smallest particle in the whole universe and by the accumulation of these atoms formation of different matters takes place. After that, we were told that these atoms are made up of 3 different things protons, electrons and neutrons but do you know how these protons, electrons, and neutrons are made? Well, these are made up of quarks. Currently, only six different types of quarks are identified, you may feel that their names a bit messed up they are up, down, top, bottom, strange and charm quarks and protons and neutrons are formed from a combination of 3 different types of quarks, for example, protons are made up of two 2/3 up and one 1/3 down quarks, and that is the reason why we write proton as positive one charge bose einstein condensates use this quarks in modern physics.

Well, a combination of up and down quarks are the most stable formation and that is why they are available in abundance in the universe and sometimes we use different particle accelerators and colliders to combine two quarks and form a single particle but these particles are highly unstable in nature and they decay instantly to change formation. Sometimes we use the most powerful colliders to combine 5 different quarks to create a single particle and by far we have been able to combine only that much quarks but there is a possibility of the existence of such a particle that we haven’t been able to notice so far. Finally, after years of work scientists have come to know about a strange combination of these quarks which has not been detected in any experiments so far. In this there are six different quarks are present 2 up and 2 down, and 2 strange quarks and this combination is known as sexaquarks. But it is still shocking that till now sexaquarks are not mentioned in any of the theories or predictions but recently done calculations suggest that even if these particles exist then they must exist below a certain threshold level which will make them extremely stable and hence the decaying process will never start.

But if these particles do exist then why have we not got any proof about its existence? Well, the reason behind this is that all the particle accelerators and colliders we have built so far are made in such a way that they can only detect the particles of certain threshold levels and it is believed that the threshold level of sexaquarks are well below the level of particle accelerators. And recent observations suggest that after bigbang these particles may have spread all over in the universe, just think about it that such a particle exists in our surroundings which does not interact with anything, it cannot decay, it just simply exists moreover when many particles like this collect over a certain place then due to their high concentration, they create gravitational pull. All these properties point towards only one thing i.E dark matter, it’s the same dark matter about which our understanding is still zero. Even today it’s the topic of heated debate that weather sexaquarks exists or not but it does not mean that they do not exist at all, maybe it’s possible that we have been creating them in our particle accelerators all along but due to their low threshold level, they have not been detected, only time will tell whether they exist or not and it’s possible that after detecting them our understanding about dark matter will get better.
